JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF accepted · Multiple files supported

Photos are reviewed by the Registrar's Office before being shared with the assigned artist. Large files may require a moment to upload.

    Photograph Guidelines

    • Use natural light. Even, diffuse light — shade outdoors or near a large window indoors — shows facial structure and expression most clearly.
    • Multiple angles. Photographs from slightly different positions and distances give the artist more material to work from.
    • Uncluttered backgrounds make the subject easier to isolate and study.
    • For families: include individual photographs of each subject as well as group photographs.
    • For residences: provide multiple exterior views from different distances, and note the season or time of year preferred.
    • Historical photographs are welcome and may be included alongside contemporary images.
